Marijuana Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that we may solve our common problem and help others to recover from marijuana addiction.
What Happens at Marijuana Anonymous Meetings?
At each MA meeting we typically read the 12 Steps of Marijuana Anonymous, as well as the 12 Traditions. Sobriety chips are often given to acknowledge sobriety milestones and birthdays. Sometimes there is a speaker who tells their story, or the group might study the Steps or other literature. Many meetings have a topic for discussion and an opportunity for group members to share. All meetings are non-smoking in compliance with California laws.
MA District 6 includes the northern part of Los Angeles county, primarily the San Fernando Valley. At this time, every meeting in our district is open to both women and men, but women-only and men-only meetings are held in the greater Southern California area (see schedule).
